New Chemical Registration in China
With the effectiveness of Chemical Registration System in China from October 2003, no chemical products containing NEW chemical substance inside is now allowed to market in Mainland China, unless it is registered in China Inventory (IECSC=Inventory of Existing Chemical Substance of China) – a pre-marketing / pre-manufacturing principle.
New Chemical Substances are these chemical substances not listed in IECSC. Chemical Registration refers to a set of documents (including nature properties of these new chemical substances, their estimated adverse effects to environment, to human) is sent to China government for evaluation and approval. Special requirement on ecotoxicological data that must be tested inside China with Chinese test organism by certified lab.
