压力测量原理可分为液柱式、弹性式、电阻式、电容式、电感式和振频式等。当压力在2.6Kpa时，可采用膜片式压力表、波纹管压力表和波登管压力表。如接近大气压的低压检测时，可用膜片式压力表或波纹管式压力表。若需要进行远距离压力显示时，一般用气动或电动压力变压器，也可用电气压力传感器。当压力范围为140~280MPa时，则应采用高压压力传感受器。当高真空测量时可采用热电真空计。
