In the next few lines of the output, reliability estimates are given for the level-1 coefficients. This
is an overall or average reliability for each level-1 coefficient across the set of 160 level-2 units
(schools). These estimates are calculated according to Equation 3.59 in Hierarchical Linear
Models, p. 50 and depend on two factors: the degree to which the true underlying parameters vary
from school to school and the precision with which each school's regression equation is estimated.
HLM provides statistical tools for comprehensive hierarchical data modeling. A recent addition to this popular program is the option to estimate an HLM from incomplete data, using a completely automated approach that generates and analyses multiply imputed data sets from incomplete data.
