PC属中等耐磨材料( 但比金属还是要好很多)。比尼龙、聚、氯化聚醚及PTFE差,但比ABS、聚砜、有机玻璃等好。在PC中加入某些填料可改善耐磨性,例如加入PTFE、玻纤等可降低摩擦系数和磨损量,提高PV值。PC的耐热性和耐寒性都很好,长期使用温度的范围较宽,可在-100~130℃范围使用,其负荷变形温度高(130~140℃),且受负荷影响小;脆化温度在-100℃以下,甚至在-180℃的低温下,也不会象玻璃那样破碎。PC没有明显的熔点,在220~230℃呈熔融状态。由于大分子链刚性大,其熔融粘度比其它热塑性塑料高得多.
