从造球机出来的生球用瓷辊筛筛去粒度大于16mm和8mm的，生球抗压强度要达到15～20N/个球，落下强度(单个生球从0.5m高处落到钢板上反复跌落，直到生球破坏为止的次数)不4小于次，符合以上两个指标即是合格生球。
阿尔法淀粉是将普通淀粉经预糊化处理，然后粉碎制成，现在被广泛应用于食品、水产养殖、医药、铸造和石油钻井等行业。
（三）阿尔法淀粉用途:
1、食品工业
阿尔法淀粉广泛应用于各种方便食品中，使用时可省去蒸煮操作，起到增稠。改进口感等作用。例如：用阿尔法淀粉配制的布丁粉，用冷牛奶搅匀即可食用；蛋糕粉中加入阿尔法淀粉，配蛋糕时加水易混成面团，包含水分和空气多，体积较大。
2、水产养殖业
阿尔法淀粉用于养殖业，其主要的用途是配制在鳗鱼、甲鱼等饲料中。阿尔法淀粉作为水产饲料的粘结剂，其用量为20—25%。另外它可用来作观赏鱼饲料的粘合剂，使饲料颗粒光滑度增大，同时鱼也喜欢食用。
3、医药工业
在医药工业中预糊化淀粉主要作为药片粘合剂，它具有成型后强度大，服后易消化，易溶解及无副作用的特点。
4、铸造生产工业
a、阿尔法淀粉可用作铸铁、铸钢用型砂的胶粘剂，冷水溶解容易，胶粘力强，能提高型砂热湿拉强度，减缓石英砂受热潮胀，从而提高砂型的抗夹砂能力，防止铸件产生夹砂，结疤缺陷。
b、阿尔法淀粉能提高型砂韧性，减少因铸模不良而造成的型变，降低铸件废品率，减少经济损失。
c、阿尔法淀粉能提高型砂表面强度，提高抗风干能力及抗铁水充蚀能力，可防止冲砂、砂眼缺陷。
d、阿尔淀粉能降低型砂高温强度，改善溶性能。阿尔法淀粉使用方便，加入量少，一般为0.5—1%。
5、石油钻井业
a、石油钻井中使用阿尔法淀粉，可以稳定井壁，改善井眼条件，防塌，絮凝钻屑等作用，能显着地降低饱和盐水泥浆的失水，具有较好的抗钙和抗温能力，可用作饱和盐水泥浆的防滤失剂。
b、石油钻井应用阿尔法淀粉于油井钻泥中，可以增加蓄水性和稠度。
高粘度预糊化淀粉广泛应用于饲料、铸造、石油钻井、纸箱、建材涂料等行业。与其它建筑外加剂有很好的相溶性。
