在使用粉碎钳的时候，当泵站供给油缸无杆腔高压油时，活塞杆伸出，推动钳口收缩，破碎钢筋混凝土结构。当泵站向有杆腔供油时，活塞杆收回，钳口松开。油缸完成一次正反向供油，粉碎钳完成一次循环作业，正反向不断供油，粉碎钳反复作功，从而实现不断破碎混凝土结构。
