Possesses high strength, toughness and good weldability. Is relatively impermeable to gases, hydrocarbons and other liquids compared to other materials. Provides high dimensional stability, low coefficient of friction, low shrinkage, excellent mechanical properties, creep resistance at high temperatures, high continuous use temperature (160°C to 240°C) and very low moisture absorption. Offers high hardness and rigidity at elevated temperatures allowing good load bearing performance. Exhibits good electrical properties and excellent resistance to corrosion, hydrolysis, oxidation, heat and paraffin buildup. Shows excellent chemical resistance to all solvents below 200°C, acids, bases, typical and alternative automotive fuels and petroleum fluids at elevated temperatures. Can be processed by injection molding. Is suitable for lead-free soldering and metal replacement applications. Used in electrical/electronic components such as bobbins, lamp housings, brush holders and other components requiring strength and resistance to aggressive chemicals such as automotive heaters, pumps, valves, fuel rails, microwave oven rings and distillation column packings. Complies with RoHS, PFOS and PFOA regulations.
